Question by Save the human race: I have a question about weed eaters?
i was told never to rev a weed eater up really hard when it’s cold and only rev it up when it’s warm. the weed eater i have now, if i don’t give it at least some gas it will die. so what i do is while it’s still cold is just barely hold the gas in. it’s a straight shaft so when i let off the gas the hub stops turning. i’ll hold the throttle about 1/4th the way in for about 30 seconds, then after about 30 seconds i’ll run it about 1/2 throttle, then after about a minute i’ll start in. i was told never to rev up on a cold motor , but will giving it a little gas hurt while it’s cold? it’s about 2 years old and i gave 300 dollars for it
and what i meant when i said give it some gas it will die, i meant while it’s cold, when it’s warm it will idle all day long, but when cold it won’t idle very well.
oops another mistake, when i said after a minute i’ll start it, i actualy meant i’ll start in as i’ll start in using it
