i don’t know if you can do it honestly being 15.. not sure how long ago this was posted.
i run a lawn care business, things are not cheap. when i started i had a 9-5 regular job and did the lawn care on the weekends and evenings. my 9-5 paid my bills and the lawn care paid for itself. I bought new equipment, advertising, and clothing for it with basically every dollar it made.
a small trailer can run you $700. riding mower for professional use is $2,000 +. stihl professional use weedwhackers start at 300. the blower you will want for leaf removal is 500 (br600 stihl is what i use). then you have leaf vacs, which can run from 300-500 for basic professional use models. self propelled mowers are 300+. it isnt easy.
however, make flyers pass them out after news papers come. so when they get the paper they see your flyer. post them in stores with post boards. word of mouth is huge. make business cards and pass them out. register for yellowbook.com and yellowpages.com. i think they are both $15.00 monthly for what gets me first position in my area. this brings traffic. a website is huge. register your side on like manta.com etc. places that show up on google bing etc. google places is a huge place to put your company.
get company t-shirts with your name and telephone number in the biggest font you can afford so people see it.
write up a customer service agreement so neither you or the customer get screwed. for the first year, dont hire anyone. do it yourself. no matter how hard or long your days are, do it yourself. you need the money. remember shit is expensive. your first year is buying equipment, second more equipment and help, third profit.
dont have ass it and accept cash only. get a business account, accept checks and money orders etc. do it the right way. setup a invoice system. maybe quick books for small bis. online. works good. buy a domain for your company (mycompany.com) so you can send emails from you@mycompany.com looks very professional. you dont need a website immediately, maybe just a phone number or something.
good luck man.
Here you go.
