First flight of the weed eater hovercraft

This is the first flight of my hovercraft project that took exactly 1 year from start to finish. It has two weedeater engines. The hover engine is actually a WeedEater 25cc leaf blower engine spinning a 1999 Volkswagon golf rad fan, and the thrust engine is a Ryobi 31cc thats been converted to accept a 3 bladed 15×8 pusher prop. It weighs about 30lbs. All the design and construction was done by me. All I had to information was a few pdf’s on hovercraft theory. Its amazing how little information on skirt design is out there. I had to watch youtube videos on racing hovercaft do flips and pause the video to get a look at the under hull…
